About Riley Levy
Riley Levy is the founder and CEO of The Complete Human Co. (TCHC); he is geographically based in Phoenix, Arizona. Riley launched The Complete Human Co. in 2023 after spending much of 2022 establishing the foundation to provide comprehensive primary care services via telehealth and care coordination services to prevent hospital readmissions and lower costs for payers and patients. Patients can receive convenient and efficient medical care from the comfort of their homes, seven days a week. It’s the perfect solution for patients being discharged who don’t have a primary care physician or need a new one.
Healthcare executive Riley has extensive experience managing complex operations within multi-modal care delivery systems. Throughout Riley’s career, his focus has been on patient outcomes and provider experience, so launching The Complete Human Co. was the perfect fit. He works to make care better and less costly.
Riley’s Experience in the Healthcare Industry
Before starting The Complete Human Co., Riley was an executive at several healthcare companies. He was the Head of Operations at Apostrophe and instrumental in the company’s successful development of its scaled operations during the pandemic. This helped the company merge successfully with Hims & Hers in 2021. Apostrophe, a teledermatology specialist, provides high-quality personalized products aligned with consumers’ needs to improve their skin through its platform. Hims & Hers is a multi-specialty telehealth platform that delivers consumers modern, customized health and wellness experiences.
In addition, Riley served as Head of Operations at Phil for two years. Phil offers a technology solution that improves the prescription experience for manufacturers, providers, and patients. Among other offerings, it provides patients with medications quickly and affordably.
He began his career in the healthcare space as Head of Operations with Nurx. This San Francisco-based female-focused telehealth company made birth control more accessible and affordable by shipping it directly to consumers. Nurx also provided STI testing, HIV prevention with PrEP, at-home HPV screening, and treatment for headaches and migraines. In 2022, Nurx was acquired by Thirty Madison, another digital health player.
Armed with Invaluable Expertise, Riley Goes Out on His Own
With nearly a decade of experience in healthcare operations and telehealth, Riley took his expertise to start his own company. He saw a need to bridge the gap between patient stabilization in the hospital and outpatient community health so that patients continue receiving the necessary treatment and no longer fall through the cracks.
The Complete Human Co. offers various solutions to fill the gaps in the discharge process, chronic care management, and hospitalization prevention. The company is a true partner with healthcare facilities. In working with TCHC, patients can establish care with a primary care physician in seven days or less. Once TCHC accepts a patient, its team handles all case management and care coordination. Suppose a mutual patient needs surgical interventions or specialist services. In that case, TCHC will contact the facility to see if it can help continue the patient care. Facilities are also kept in the loop on the care being provided.
Additionally, TCHC deploys unique strategies for early detection of potential emergencies, helping patients manage them in an outpatient setting or coordinating directly with a hospital or surgical team instead of routing them through an emergency department.
Riley Levy set up TCHC to serve patients across the United States, ensuring they can get the care they need to stay out of the hospital even if they move out of the area. This includes providing in-house behavioral health services.
TCHC has millions of covered lives included in its contracts with various insurance companies, such as Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Cigna, BlueCross/Blue Shield, Optum, Oscar, and 160+ plans.
Lowering the Cost of Healthcare for Patients
TCHC helps patients navigate services in their payer network, assisting them in receiving the best of their benefits and keeping them healthy. Getting patients the needed services quickly means less severe symptoms and shorter hospital stays. Focusing on preventative health measures, including treatment, enables TCHC to remain proactive instead of reactive, improving patient wellness. Riley and his team are committed to finding the most cost-effective options, saving everyone time and money.
TCHC’s Success
Riley’s vision of enhancing primary care and care coordination service, preventing hospital readmissions, and lowering costs with The Complete Human Co. has been a success in the short time since the company began. TCHC has an 87+ Net Promoter Score after thousands of patient visits. A score of 87 or higher is considered excellent, with many happy customers (in this case, patients). NPS is a metric that measures customer sentiment and is a good indicator of a company’s future growth. New patients are seen within days, not months. The cost savings per patient by preventing hospital readmission is $2,480.
